Relay for Life is a unique event where the community comes together in an amazing show of strength, camaraderie and goodwill to create hope for a cancer free future. The 24 hour walking event around an athletics track is the biggest fundraiser in Cairns.
My role
Camera operator (one of four cameras) for continuous live outdoor broadcast being produced for big screens at the event. Shooting with a Sony PXW.
I was
initially track-side capturing cutaways, crowd shots and
interviews with the male and female hosts. I was then on the stage covering
all stage presentations and entertainment.
Contact with the Director via radio headset.
