Radio Producer

The project
Five day three hour special radio program for Far North Queensland audiences to commemorate and celebrate NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week. The project was managed from the ABC radio office in Sydney and each state of Australia produced a program similar to ours. The only contact with the Program Manager was via teleconference so we worked remotely and very independently. In all we had two teleconferences during the pre-production week and received very positive feedback from the Program Manager in relation to our story ideas and direction for the local program.

My role
Senior Producer, responsible for story ideas and leads, researching and expanding leads.
Single handedly edited all 20 pre-recorded interviews.
Produced the program to air.
Received very positive feedback from Content and Station Managers at the conclusion.
